Welcome to 2010s Inaugural Plate Match at Gig Harbor Sportsman's Club.  Henceforth, here at Gig Harbor Sportsman's Club, on the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month, except on Mondays falling on National Holidays, at 6PM, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A PLATE MATCH.  The matches will be hosted and directed by Mike Blondin.  OJ Kimura will be head Line Marshall, and when George Flaherty returns in 4 weeks, he will step back into the job of Scorekeeper & Dealer of the Duels.
Our evening started out with great weather, a few scattered clouds and the temperature standing at a shirt sleeve 63degrees.  By the end of the match, the temperature had plummeted to 61, and we brought out the umbrella to protect George from a few stray raindrops.
We were honored to have our club's President, Le Rodenburg & his wife Jeannie,
stop by for a look at the proceedings tonight.  Le & Jeannie were enroute to a fancy restaurant, but while they were here they said they were impressed with the way it was run.
Good to see you folks tonight.  When asked, Le & Jeannie assured me they would be back, packing iron this time, and stay to play.  We'll be ready folks, and remember, we don't give club Presidents, or their wives, head starts.
We had 18 guns register tonight.  So far, this plate match is in it's 2nd Infancy, but our Match Director, Mike Blondin, has plans for more classes, with more variety and more fun.  Details to follow soon.  For tonight, we have 1 Class, winner take all, We'll get more sophisticated later, but for tonight, let's just shoot and have fun.
Due to the efficiency of the match staff, we were able to get in 5 Rounds plus a Sudden Death Finale.  The beginning of the end started when Lee Lewis outran this reporter, Hal Hansen with a smooth, fast accurate string of fire  (Lee, not this reporter).
OJ then got by George, Lee got by James, and that looked like so much fun that George followed suit against James as well.  Lee then added insult to injury by outrunning this reporter, Hal Hansen, again.  Lee had his NightHawk running well again, having just gotten it back from...well, somewhere, today.  Anyway, bottom line, exit Hal.  Lee outran George next, which put George on the trailer.  OJ put James on the trailer next, just before Lee put OJ away for the evening.  Tonight's winner, and the winner of Gig Harbor Sportsman's Club's inaugural Plate Match of 2010 is Lee Lewis.  Congratulations Lee.

OK Folks, as it stands now, this match will always be run on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of Each Month.  I guess we'll have to see how long our Match Director, Mike Blondin, can last two weeks without a plate match at GHSC.  So that's it for this time folks, see you in two weeks on May 3rd, 2010.  Until then, practice hard, and always remember

IT'S ALL ABOUT SIGHT ALIGNMENT & TRIGGER SQUEEZE.  THE REST IS JUST THERE TO CONFUSE YOU.

Hal
