It was only a warm day, overcast and 64degrees. Shirtsleeve weather and perfect for the purpose. We shot Series F today and this series combined all the elements of a great competition - The need for speed, accuracy, and the ability to change course during a string of fire, and still stay focused.
Round 1
This series typified our Arrays Impressaio, Chuck Treat's, type of target array. Let the shooter look downrange, assume that it would be impossible to miss all those HUGE targets, then blaze away only to find them still hanging there, untouched, and laughing!!

Round 2
Now we're about half standards and half micros. This is getting more interesting.

Round 3
Start fast, then put the brakes on, determine your route through all those tiny orange clays, and finally, maybe, engage the black micro in the middle. Maybe!

Round 4
Say goodbye to the standard sized clay targets. They are just a memory. From here on in all you will see are micros.
One might call this array the "Arc of Triumph". Maybe! It looked like this.....Well, triumph may be a bit presumptuous.

Round 5
Let's call this one "THE STRAIGHT & NARROW".

Y'all be real careful out there! At the end of regulation play we have a couple of winners. With high score for the match, in the Open Class, is Jay Schoonmaker with a score of 47. In the Limited Class, with a score of 35, is Hal Hansen, your "faithful" reporter.
Don't forget the plate practices on Monday evenings at 5pm, and the plate matches on Tuesday evenings at 6pm. Welcome to our new shooters, which comprised about half the field today. Practice hard, develop your technique, dry-fire a LOT, and we'll see you right here next Sunday at 4pm. In the meantime always remember:
SHOOT FAST, SHOOT ACCURATELY, BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY.
Hal
