8 Super Senior Shooters - Class won by George Flaherty
It was a beautiful night for a plate match. Yeah, I know. They all are!! Tonight was warm, clear, and best of all, we had food!!
Thanks so much to Mathew Seagraves, Wolfgang, and Mark Kimura for setting up the stage, and thanks to Rob & Reba Potter for running the line and the scoreboard. Thanks to all those who stepped in to spell Rob & Reba when they were shooting, notably Mark Wuesthoff, OJ, and George. Everyone at the match wishes to thank Mathew Seagraves, the BBQ Chef Extraordinary for running the BBQ. Mathew is one fine hamburger and hot dog Chef.
We join the action with 6 shooters still contending. They are: Mark, Lee, Rob, Reba, George and Loren. Mark duels with Lee, to no avail, duel to Lee. Rob and Lee duel, and Rob has a little better luck, duel to Rob. Reba and George duel with George getting there first, exit Reba. Rob takes a fast duel from Mark and then Lee puts Loren on the trailer for the evening in another really fast duel. Exit Loren. George and Rob duel with Rob winning, then Rob follows up with a win over Lee. George takes a quick duel from Rob, and Mark then plays payback by taking a duel from George.
At this point it's down to 4 shooters: Rob w/4 numbers, Lee with 1, George with 1, and Mark with 1. Not to be denied, Mark takes a duel from Rob, and Rob follows up by putting Lee on the trailer for the evening. Mark then duels with George, successfully, putting our Super Senior Division winner, George, out of action for another week. Exit George. Lee duels with Mark, and outruns him, retiring him for tonight. Mark exits as our Senior Division winner.
Well Sports Fans, it's down to 2. Rob Potter with 4 numbers on the board, and Lee Lewis with 1 number. Shooters, Load and Make Ready!! Shooters Ready? Stand By!! At the horn, Rob and Lee hammer the plates, and Lee Lewis gets there first. Now it's Rob 3, to Lee's 1.
Again the range commands, and again the horn, but this tme Rob is ready. Rob wins the duel, the match, and has bragging rights for another week. Lee retires our Young Bucks & Does winner.
Congrats to Rob, Lee, George, Mark and Wolfgang. Thanks again to all those who made the match run so smoothly, and so quickly. We'll see you all right here next week.
I can't promise that we'll have a BBQ, but the way to bet would be to bring a fast gun, a quick eye, an attitude of gun safety, and a good appetite. We'll see you next week.

Just a note from your Match Director: When you sign in, please enter all the information requested on the sign in Sheet. Name, gun number (leave blank if only entering one gun, but put 1 or 2 if entering 2. Then enter your phone number and write $5.00 per gun. Write $5.00 on both sign-in lines, (if you are paying with script, write script), and then enter the designation for your class - Jr. under 18yrs of age, Young Bucks & Does (YB&D) if you are between 18 and 49 yrs of age. Senior if you are 50 - 59 and SS for Super Senior if you are 60 yrs of age or older.
If all the information is filled out, then this Match Director won't have to hunt down newer shooters to our match and repeatedly ask them their age. Remember, this Match Director is already a Super Senior, and the memory is the second thing to go. Always remember the proper care & feeding of your Match Director. Thank You.
Hal
